Living Word Academy
The purpose of Living Word Academy is to teach the foundational basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic while allowing children to pursue their individual interests and talents. Our goal is to teach a strong work ethic and essential life skills through a variety of methods that encourage a lifetime of learning. In all things, we want to glorify God by teaching Biblical truths at every stage of educational development, allowing children to become spiritually equipped for this life, and ultimately, for eternal life.
ABOUT LIVING WORD ACADEMYDEMYEy
When do we meet?
Mondays and Wednesdays are in-class school days. The students will meet at Living Word for either a full day (8:30-2:00) or a half day (8:30-12:00). Tuesdays and Thursdays will be at-home days where the students will be given assignments, project work, and/or extra practice worksheets to be completed.

What grades are offered?
Living Word Academy is a K-12 school.

What curriculum will be offered?
All curriculums will be provided in the cost of tuition for the upper & lower elementary school students. We have a variety of options for curriculum which will be discussed with parents as we strive to meet the individual needs of our students. High schoolers will pay by the class. There may be additional books/items that need to be purchased on top of the tuition cost for high schoolers, depending upon the class.

What is the schedule for in-class school days (Mondays/Wednesdays)?
8:30-8:45: Drop off

8:45-9:00: School-wide devotion and prayer in the sanctuary.

9:00-12:00: Core class time for each grade level and Bible class. The younger grades will have center time activities, individual work on math and reading, as well as breaks and time for recess. The high schoolers will have longer classes with shorter breaks in between.
12:00: Pick up for half-day students
12:00-12:30: Outside activities/lessons and work on science and history lessons. This time period will be more focused on group instruction rather than individual. It will provide opportunities for life skills, projects, logic, discussion, and class work.

2:00: Pick up for full day students

What is expected on at-home days (Tuesdays/Thursdays)?
Our teachers will provide all the work and/or projects that need to be completed on at-home days. Lower Elementary school students will practice reading and will be provided with extra practice worksheets for math. Upper Elementary school students will work on reading, math, and any additional projects we have ongoing in science, history, or our life skills work. Any work assigned should be completed in a short amount of time so there is free time to explore individual interests or for children to have time to play. High schoolers will have time for work, extra practice in the classes they are attending, and time to pursue interests/sports/activities.

What is the tuition for Living Word Academy?
The tuition per year for our upper & lower elementary school students for a full day student is $2,000. Half day student tuition is $1,500 per year. Our high school classes cost $400 per year per class.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings of eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
